Many people born
with some skills, which define them to society, so it is more than clear what they will dedicate. The question that most have is: if really I like, love or be passionate about are clever. And somebody just to follow the
obvious way chose the major similar to his or her abilities, but some others
work or given time, like sabbatical.
The problem is
that we have no idea to study and each we do a review or some text of academic
/ professional orientation, the results are mixed or inconclusive and worse, when
options gives us results completely different, different areas, ugliest
results, because the options they give us, we do not like. And when we realize,
we are at one semester to finish high school and we have to decide already our
major, apply college admission exams, plus homework, projects and high school
exams; the only thought we have is: When finished that? Will I choose right? Can
I change the major? Which major is the shortest? (a lot ideas)
And when analysing
different school curricula the first thought is: Why so many subjects? The
point is, no always we know what choice, if some we like or some we feel
passion or maybe the best option is that we have skills, but -what excites me?
I guided for something that I have always liked and thanks to God I am good, so
I understand that choice a major is not complicated, but rather fulfil
everything it wanted.
Communication, it
is what I have always said that it would study, instead my best friend chose
medicine, and coincidentally that is the option of major what any member of the
family supports. In second semester of my major, I had a little existential
crisis and I started to dude about my choose to major. If communication is the
best to me. Ending the semester to see my grades, and “future me” I knew that
it is my major, I mean, I love sleep as if to study medicine, I love go to
golden globes, premiers and meet artists, famous people.
I love influence
in society; many things can be transmitted with the communication medias,
and that is where society is informed about the events. My main purpose is
“SAVE THE WORLD” no like superman or supergirl, rather like normal person,
educating society with better media content, and that’s what I love about my
university, my teachers teach me everything I have to know and the way at which
it is better to use.
I thought to
choose major was complicated, but when I select my speciality, uff it was
really hard, because it was so complicated: television, movies, journalism,
radio, new media, marketing & advertising or maybe organizational; the best
to me always been marketing & advertising and television; at a crossroads
again, although after time it was easier choice because my only question was
–from which I will leave better prepared to send the best messages?
My answer was:
marketing & advertising, it teach me how to send the better messages and
not only the means to send it, the strategic too; but also to a certain sector
strategies, consumer, wow it is an amazing world, and make me really happy,
search about the tendencies and consumer behaviour, etcetera…
